The Renaissance was a great cultural and intellectual movement, which is its last to take place in Europe among the ones presented. It took place between 1300s and 1600s and was the stage between Middle Ages and the coming of Enlightenment and Reformation.

To begin with, it all started in Italy and then it has continued in the rest of Europe. It was a renaissance period in the artistic, cultural and intellectual fields where new ideas, and in particular the classical Greek and Roman notions, made a comeback. Human Renaissance went hand in hand with such achievements as art, science, and philosophy that remind of many masterpieces, which were once the school subjects.

The Renaissance is speckled with figures responsible for the modern world. Among them are artists such as Leonardo da Vinci, Michelangelo and Raphael, plus thinkers such as Galileo Galilei, Niccolò Machiavelli, and Desiderius Erasmus. In its essence, the Renaissance had set the stage for the Reformation and Enlightenment radical division and progress, being the last integral part of the mentioned time periods.
