    Since it explicitly refers to a dangling modifier we need to define this term: a dangling modifier is a phrase which points to a certain subject in a rather vague and illogical way thus considering the context it can cause only amusement. In this case, the participial phrase used is \u201cWalking through the park\u201d which is used to tell about a person; however, the structure of the whole sentence gives an idea as if the trees were walking instead of the person.<\/p>\n

    To fix this sentence, we could rewrite it as: \u2018If it is the case, then sentences such as \u201cAs I was walking through the park, the trees were swaying in the breeze. \u201c, clarify who was walking.<\/p>\n

A corrected version would be: To support this, it is only appropriate to describe what transpired on that fateful night, and that was after having dinner, we washed the dishes.<\/p>\n

    Another example: Here the same abbreviation is again used as the subject of the sentence: \u2018Exhausted from the long hike, the comfortable bed was a welcome sight.\u2019 A better version would be: I was quite tired following the hike hence the comfortable bed was such a blessing to the eyes.<\/p>\n
