This equation has C as the symbol for circumference, d as symbol for diameter, and \u03c0 as the symbol for the mathematical constant almost equal to 3.14.<\/p>\n<p class=\"western\" lang=\"en-US\">The agreed upon analogy that we can derive from this problem is that the radius of the circle is 12 inches. With the formula C = \u03c0d, we substitute for C = 24 and for \u03c0 = 3.14.
