Further, recycling reduces pollution, greenhouse gas emissions, and the exploitation of natural resources such as oil, water, and metals. Besides, it promotes the circular economy, whereby resources are recycled and reintroduced into the system, avoiding the conventional linear models of production and consumption in the economy.
