In solar propulsion, sunlight that touches the surface of the Earth supplies the amount of heat that is needed to transmute water present in seas, lakes, and other water sources to vapour. This evaporated water vapor rises into the atmosphere where temperatures cause it to cool and condense forming clouds. The water vapour condenses and returns to the Earth\u2019s surface in the form of precipitation ranging from rain, and snow, to hail.
