This is a result of its molecular shape and the symmetry of the same molecule. BF3 has around the central boron atom three fluorine atoms that are similarly arranged at 120\u00b0 from one another. Each B-F bond is polar because boron has a lower electronegativity than fluorine; however, the dipole moments of all the polar covalent bonds are cancelled out, thus making the molecule nonpolar. This is because as we realize the dipole moments of the three B-F bonds are canceled with each other as a result of the geometry of the Molecule. Thus, the net dipole moment of BF3 is zero and hence BF3 is non-polar.
