The speaker\u2019s tone in \u201cHarlem\u201d carries a robust hint of prevention. A lot of undesirable words and phrases are seen to portray the prevention in the poem. One would come across confrontations and phrases like \u201cfester\u201d and \u201cstink like rotten meat.\u201d The frustration stalks from the fact that African \u2013Americans were living in poverty. They were burdened and disadvantaged of rudimentary human rights. He was unfulfilled since the people of Harlem were not permitted to fulfill their dreams. The tone of \u201cHarlem\u201d is preventive and visionary<\/strong>.
