Answer :

Strategic Goals

The main goal of the institution was to open nursing home for the old age people in the Sub-urban areas of Virginia and Maryland. The CEO of Mid Atlantic Nursing Centre (MANC) has been recommended to move on with the project of building up healthcare homes for old-aged Vietnam patients who lack the opportunities of proper access to health-care facilities. Thus, she has suggested a plan of strategies to start their project of building healthcare homes in that area especially where the Vietnamese reside. Some of the well researched strategic plans were suggested for the project to the CEO Mary Ann Lewis. The most important part about the patient service plan in the area will be implementing nursing staffs who can easily communicate with the Vietnamese in a very tactical and friendly manner. It is found that most of the Vietnamese are conservative about their patients and unable to understand English properly (Coonan, 2013). This often discourages the old aged patients to get admitted to hospitals and nursing homes in the USA. Thus the CEO of MANC first of all needs to hire properly educated and trained nurses for their medical homes. Another very important aspect is regarding the mental condition of Vietnamese patients. Empirical research on the patients of older age conveys that the people are highly concerned about their intensive care and thus feel hesitant to interact with people of other origins. For this reason, the staffs should be trained properly and efficiently to tackle the mental situation of the people.

The goal also includes hiring nurses having proper skills and knowledge along with communication skills. Most of the patients suffer from diseases like stroke, diabetes, cancer and heart diseases. These are the key reasons that can be highlighted in front of the people to motivate them to send their old-aged members to the healthcare homes for intensive care and treatment. Vietnamese population in the USA is mainly centered in the city of Virginia and Suburban Maryland area. Currently, there are no nursing homes or health care homes in these areas. Opening the homes for the healthcare practices for the old-aged people may bring in positive results for the MANC organization and as well as the population of Vietnamese in these areas (James, Nelson & Ashwill, 2014). The service pricing policy should be an essential set of planning may decide the growth and success of the project in future days. Entering into the niche market would attract a set of people towards the company service which is different from others. For this reason, the CEO needs to set up certain strategic objectives to accomplish the desired goal.

Strategic Objectives

CEO of the MANC group had a brief interaction with the adult Vietnamese population. She found that people struggle to communicate with Americans due to lack of knowledge in traditional English. For this reason, most of the old aged people feel comfortable staying in their houses even in the time of serious health problems. Starting the homes with efficient and trained nurses along with good communication skills in the Vietnamese language will enhance the demands of the homes among the population. People from Vietnam who are engaged with full-time jobs do not have the time to look after their aged family members and thus they will get a good scope for ensuring their health (Johansson, Wåhlin, Magnusson & Hanson, 2019).  Good and polite communication is very much effective in understanding the mental and physical condition of the patients. Vietnamese patients are culturally diversified and they sometimes feel hesitant to interact with Americans. For this reason, the objective of the homes is to build up proper rapport and trust among the minor group of population. They can also set up various programs that would meet the socio-cultural needs among the patients and their family.

Intensive healthcare homes are planned to be set up in the areas where the Vietnamese population is mainly centered. These areas lack the number of healthcare homes for old-aged people. Most of the Vietnamese are not able to afford sophisticated and advanced nursing homes in the USA and thus they suffer from serious problems and health-related conflicts. For solving these issues of the population the CEO Mary Ann wants to launch her MANC's units in these areas with an affordable service cost by including the best possible facilities in the homes (Karabulut & Yaman Aktaş, 2016). She believes that this will solve the issues of the majority of the Vietnamese living in the areas of suburban Maryland and Virginia. Thus, the strategies can prove to become successful if the Vietnamese people find the environmental conditions of the healthcare nursing homes are relevant enough to suit their desires and requirements.

Measurements

Based on the certain goals of strategies and objectives the CEO Mary Ann had decided to start the project as soon as possible. She wants to execute the whole plan in a systematical and measured way. Process of Care measures should be implemented within the nursing homes to recommend the patients towards appropriate treatment. For this time to time vigilance is required on behalf of the medical staffs and hospital management. Even experience of care measures is very important to judge the condition of the patients to provide them with the required set of solutions and services. This includes communication with the nurses and doctors, the responsiveness of the organization staffs, cleanliness and peaceful environment within the healthcare homes. Readmission of patients and sometimes death cases are frequent in the healthcare sector (Motacki & Burke, n.d.). For this reason, the MANC should have appropriate measures to handle such kind of situations. The authority should have some fixed organizational guidelines and norms to set this kind of issues.

Transparency should be always maintained within the staffs and patient parties. These are the sort of measurements and precautions the MANC should fix within their group of healthcare homes so that they can function efficiently with their set of tasks. CEO Mary Ann is highly concerned about the health-related problems of the old-aged Vietnamese. For this reason, she has decided to move on with such a big project in the suburban areas. This will require a lot of planning and efficient working among the staffs of the MANC group so that they can achieve success in serving the needful patients. The project seems to become successful as the process is a unique one and includes the concept of niche business as compared to other competitors (Pulaski, 2013).

Implementation

The hiring process need to be carried in an appropriate manner in order to ensure efficient nurses would carry out their duties. Along with their technical skill and knowledge, they must be well aware of the Vietnamese culture. The Vietnamese culture is very conservative about their family members and so the nurses must have regarded about family values. The Vietnamese are also deprived of proper health care facilities as most of the localities are devoid of any good nursing home where they can be provided care as at the home (Rashid, 2011). Most of the Vietnamese care their old parents at home but in recent years due to the existence of the full-time job and own family, it becomes difficult for the Vietnamese to take care of their parents. Others don't have the means to adopt home care services for their parents. The health care unit planning to provide quality service to the Vietnamese patients must hire nurses having the required skill and can speak the indigenous language (Rothrock, 2018).  In doing so no communication gap will generate between the patients and the nurses and the aged patients can easily communicate their problems to the nurses. On receiving communication the nurses can also take better care of the patients.

In case no effective communication is made between the patients and the nurses, effective treatment cannot be provided to the needy patients and hence the very basic requirement of providing quality services will fail. The health care units need to be set up in the rural or backward area where there is not much access to the health care facilities. The health care units established in those areas must fulfill the needs of the patients of that area who are deprived of any quality medical checkup. If health care facilities are provided handy in that area then it will make a huge difference in society. The health care units can also get an advantage in the market value. To execute the idea of building a nursing centre, it is necessary to know the Vietnamese culture well and that can only be done by hiring an advisor from outside who is well aware of the Vietnamese culture. The advisor should in turn advice regarding the rules, laws and the mindset of the Vietnamese, which will in turn help in building a strong bond between the nurses and the patients.

To give quality service to the Vietnamese, the nursing centre needs to hire staffs that are technically and skillfully strong enough to give quality service. It is essential to give quality services with due care to elderly patients as their life is full of stress. To ease their stress it is necessary for the nurses to gain the confidence of their patients and to manage all aspects carefully by gaining faith in the nursing centre. Most of the health care units do repose their trust in the legislative, technical and economic advancement. The political factors need to be fulfilled by the health care unit by managing the public health care services with special attention being given to consumer protection, insurance and tax legislation (Patton, 2012). To maintain the health care unit effectively, it is necessary to consider the economic factors governing the regulation of the health care unit. The prices of the health care facilities must be kept nominal so that every section of the society can afford it. When the provided health care facilities are within the reach of every section of the society then it will make a huge difference in society.

The persons who do not have enough means to hire home services can also afford the services of the nursing centre. New strategies need to be adopted by the nursing centre to meet cultural and social necessity. Marketing regarding the nursing centre must be done in both English and Vietnamese language so that it can reach out to people far across the country. The building must be built in such a way so that it can withstand competitive advantage existing in the hospital industry. The nursing care unit must also concentrate on the core needs of the patients so that their trust can be gained. It can also collaborate along with its competitors so that marketing size can be increased (Eliot & Ashton, 2018). The health care unit to achieve popularity among its patients must also focus on providing personalized care and treatment to the patients according to their varied needs.
