Effective project management is important not only to reduce prices and increase incomes but also for offering the highest quality care. The healthcare industry requires making an effort for being able to manage the growing numbers of the patient and their increasing demand.

Healthcare project management can be intense as the stakes are higher. Effective project management can be beneficial for hospitals in lowering costs and improving outcomes. Well- being of patients can be considered as a factor that makes project management very important and complex. Healthcare organizations should invest and make an effort to be sure that it is being done properly. A lack of process or minor mistakes can cause a detrimental effect on patients (Leconte&Jessee, 2019). Better project management has become more important to find a balance between efficiency and quality places.

High stake project management in healthcare is considered to be the industry-wide initiative for opting form paper to electronic records. It could be difficult for any business from the perspective of IT, but the healthcare industry faces much higher stakes as it has to protect the information of each patient according to the regulation of HIPPA. Effective project management can reduce the probability of being shared and exposed the private data of patients inappropriately. Project management can assist in minimizing risk which is extremely important in the industry of healthcare (Tran, 2016). A healthcare organization that initiates a project for defining the best pre-surgery process can prevent the probability of error made by the operating team. 

Conclusion

The healthcare industry requires investing in effective healthcare project management as the stakes are high in the industry.  The life of patients is being affected. The use of appropriate approaches and tools for project management can boost patient wellbeing and save lives.
