The important attributes for screening models used to evaluate projects are realism, capability, ease of use, cost and flexibility. Realism can be defined as the realistic objectives of the company. These are considered realistic because they consider the real requirements of project components such as human resources. Realism is an attribute that considers both technical as well as the commercial risks of the project. Flexibility refers to the ease of modification in case project trials need some changes. Capability is also an important attribute because it is responsible for making the project exercise the flexibility attribute in case of variations (Ghaffari & Emsley, 2015). This attribute help the multiple phases of the project to develop strong foundations so that restrictions don’t hinder the project and new changes in standards can be easily incorporated. Projects are complex and hence project management should have a simple and easy to understand approach. This is referred to as ease of use which enables which makes the project comprehendible for the team members. It is important because the use of this attribute makes the screening model easy to implement and use. Cost refers to the expenses of screening model (Pinto, 2016).
